Competition Running for Priority Research Disciplines Support (PRDS) Travel Grants Program

MRDA continues awarding grants, on a competitive basis, to support travel of Moldovan scientists and engineers to international scientific events such as conferences, symposia, and forums, held in Europe and the United States. Applicants attending events in Europe must demonstrate substantive participation by U.S. scientists.
This program is open only to researchers working in the following six priority disciplines:

  1. Medicine and Pharmaceutics;
  2. Ecological Chemistry;
  3. Environmental Risk Assessment;
  4. Renewable Energy;
  5. Nanotechnology, Materials Science, and New Production Technologies;
  6. Ecological Agriculture.

The competition is divided into Category A and Category B proposals.

  1. Applicants to Category A may request up to US$3,500 to participate at scientific events in the U.S.
  2. Applicants to Category B may request up to US$2,500 to attend a scientific event hosted by a European country.

MRDA provide participants with travel support, including transportation, per diem costs, visa fees, and health insurance. Co-funding from a third party covering the conference registration fees must be demonstrated.

PRDS Travel Grants will be awarded subject to the availability of funds.

MRDA must receive applications to this program at least eight weeks prior to the intended date of travel and in accordance with the Proposal Submission Timeline below:
